White HP TouchPad, Galaxy Tab 8.9 delayed and the Toshiba Thrive July 10th launch
Here are some quick updates on a few tablets.
White HP TouchPad
First of is news of a white 64 Gigabyte HP TouchPad with a faster processor that will be launched as soon as August this year. Rumors are that the processor will be a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon. According to a the leaked webOS roadmap, along with the 64GB white TouchPad, there will also come a 32GB 4G TouchPad which will resemble the current HP TouchPad. The report also mentions a fall release of HP's 7 inch TouchPad, codenamed "OPAL".
Galaxy Tab 8.9
According to Samsung Germany, the Galaxy Tab 8.9's launch will be delayed until mid-august. A reason wasn't given but speculations are that it may have something to do with supply line issues. Others say that display issues are the cause of the delay. Either way, August isn't that far away. It's just a few weeks away. Although in tablet land, a few weeks is a very long time.
An anonymous tipster informed Engadget that Best Buy has recieved a large amount of 16GB Toshiba Thrive tablets, and are ready to be showcased. July 10th is mentioned as the in-stock date.
